The Structural Coherence — Anchor Specification (SC-AS) v1.0 — Constitutional Release — is now published and publicly available.

This is the first formal release of a specification that has been in development for over two years. SC-AS defines structural coherence as integrity under change, enforced through three conditions: identity that persists, interaction that stays bounded, and change that stays admissible. These conditions are domain-neutral — they apply to any system where structure matters.

What’s in the release

The Constitutional Release is a complete, integrity-verified bundle containing:

  • SC-CORE-000001 — The Coherence Core Specification (v1.2.5). Defines primitives, foundational conditions, admissibility rules, and valid emergence conditions.
  • SC-AXIOM-000001 — The Coherence Axioms Specification (v1.0.0). Ten axioms derived from SC-CORE with explicit dependency chains, necessity proofs, and minimality proofs.
  • SC-HDR-000001 — Document Header Specification (v0.4.0). Canonical header schema for all SC-AS documents.
  • SC-SCOPE-000001 — Semantic Scope and Non-Prescriptive Clause (v1.1.0). Defines what the specification governs and what it does not.

The release also includes five stewardship documents (governance, licensing, naming, trademark, authorship), four Reflexive Closure Certificates mechanically verifying each canonical spec, a deterministic release manifest with SHA-256 hashes for all 17 artifacts, a Merkle integrity tree, and a PGP-signed manifest.

Every artifact is independently verifiable. The bundle includes a zero-dependency Python script that checks all integrity constraints.

Where to find it

What comes next

SC-AS is the anchor — the structural kernel. It defines the conditions that any coherent system must satisfy. Everything that follows builds on this foundation:

  • Derived specifications applying structural coherence to specific domains — presence, identity, transformation, field dynamics
  • Applied tools for coherence assessment, diagnostic analysis, and structural verification
  • Research publications documenting findings from the structural coherence framework

The specification is licensed under CC BY-ND 4.0. Independent implementation — including commercial implementation — is unrestricted. If you build on it, cite it. If you extend it, we want to hear about it.

This work exists because coherence is not optional. Systems that scale without structural integrity do not fail gracefully — they lose governability. SC-AS is designed to prevent that class of failure.

New to Structural Coherence? Start with the Overview for a conceptual orientation, or go directly to the Standard for the canonical documents.
